I had my grand kid (Caden) with me today... His mom was out doing construction work with her man... they were building a fence somewhere up near St. Louis.

So Caden says, "Hey Tom... Let's go get some BALLOONS and the BB gun!"

We went down to Dollar General in Ironton, MO and bought 2 bags of balloons.. red and blue...

Went back to the small farm where me and his Grandma reside and blew the balloons up...

We bought one Helium-filled "Happy B-Day" balloon and used it to hold the other balloons up to shoot at...

The helium balloon bobbed in the light breeze (connected to a string and a trash can) and that made shooting the target balloons that much more fun...

The BB gun shoots plastic target BBs that are multi-colored...

They wouldn't pop the target balloons, but when we got tired of shooting at the target balloons (it took at least 35 minutes to get tired of it), we started shooting at the Helium balloon...

That made some loud popping sounds before it finally went BANG! and no more Helium balloon.

We got the helium balloon stuck in a local tree for a little while and, as you may have guessed, the 10-year-old went right up there after it...

Little monkey!

We had a heck of a time, laughing, hootin' and hollerin' and shooting balloons...

Two kids... One 10 years old and the other... 59!

It was a great way to spend a Friday afternoon!
