I bought this Palmer mandolin a few months back and I can't find any information on it.
The guy I bought it from said it was at least 40 years old and belonged to his now-deceased father in law.
The bridge was broken and I replaced it and put on new strings the old ones were black and brittle.
It has an arched back and top and seems to be solid, not laminated.
It is in excellent condition I just can't find anything online on Palmer mandolins.
I'm looking for any information about this or other Palmer mandolins there is no label but it does have P7 on the back of the headstock.
Thanks in advance if you can help me.

Looks like this might be the company right here?  They claim to have been in business since 1975.  Maybe try contacting them?

Reverb has a similar one for sale:   google.com/url?q=https://reverb.com/item/33381069-palmer-m-001-mandolin-sunburst?utm_source%3Dandroid-app%26utm_medium%3Dandroid-share%26utm_campaign%3Dlisting%26utm_content%3D33381069&source=gmail&ust=1591614570004000&usg=AFQjCNGVpxLLs4p4MXzbkM6K9OzHaMH4QA" href="https://reverb.com/item/33381069-palmer-m-001-mandolin-sunburst?utm_source=android-app&utm_medium=android-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=33381069" target="_blank">https://reverb.com/item/33381069-palmer-m-001-mandolin-sunburst?utm_source=android-app&utm_medium=android-share&utm_campaign=listing&utm_content=33381069   for around $150.00.

Another Palmer (identical Palmer logo) sold at Brompton's a few years back.  It was a Model P-3N and had "Spruce soundboard, maple back and sides, truss-rod, oval soundhole, rope-effect purfling."

How does yours sound?

Thanks for responding, I saw that company in Florida but this one is much older.

I think it sounds okay my other 2 mandolins have a sound hole and I much prefer the way Mandos with sound holes sound. my Alvarez is a Summerfield F style built in 1981 in the Yairi guitar shop in Japan its similar to a Gibson F4 and I get looks and compliments on its sound despite being Japanese and my other is a Kentucky KM276 you all bought for me with your generously donated stimulus money ( I guess I donated too as a bonified taxpayer). So it's hard for me to say. I would say it responds better in the higher ranges.
This Palmer is in amazing condition for where I got it and it plays nice.

No judgement here on your Kentucky or your Summerfield.  If it sounds good, play it!

I have a Gretsch Park Avenue, which is also modeled after the Gibson F4.  I love Gretsch guitars, and was hesitant when I heard about their mandolins.  But when I tried it, my ears were charmed.  I pretty much bought it on the spot.

Give it time...there may be someone who posts some better content about your Palmer.

It looks like it might be a Pacific rim product but if you like it, play it.

Pacific rim were my thoughts too.
The guy and his wife I bought it from were a 60ish Japanese couple maybe it came from overseas.
It looks good hanging on my wall.
