Here is another new (to me) mandolin I got over the holidays that I thought I would share with everyone. This is a 1993 Stiver F. I had a 1984 Stiver for 30 years, but gave it to my son, who is a much better mandolin player than me. My brother had this one, and I traded him a vintage Gibson guitar for it. This is a really powerful mandolin; loud, bright, punchy. On par with the best. Lou Stiver has been making mandolins in Pennsylvania since 1971 and is still building great instruments.

Looks like you had a better holiday than any of the rest of us! I'm envious.
