WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

To say that I am excited would be somewhat understated. I got the Eastman 314 yesterday, and my goodness it is everything I hoped for, if not even more!

Remember, I bought this without ever even seeing one, let alone playing one. In fact, I’ve never seen, held, or played any mandolin that cost much more than $100

This mandolin is incredible, to the eyes, to the hands, and to the ears!

I sure wish I would’ve been introduced to a quality Mandolin like this 10, 15, 20 years ago I would’ve started playing it back then. I bought a cheap I back then, thinking I could never play mandolin.
Now I can’t stop.....

I wonder how many people fall in this trap, and never learn/play? It’s a sad thought.....

I started out with an Eastman and I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread ! No, I don't go back that far !! It was a good instrument but as my playing improved over the years so did my hearing and expectations ! So, I began my journey of upgrading with other mandolins ! As you progress you will someday come to the conclusion that you want to upgrade and the Eastman won't sound as good ! :) Just the normal progression of MAS ! Enjoy !

I like Eastman mandos. They are a great bang for the buck and will sound better over time.

I agree with you Robert that an Eastman is a great bang for your buck ! One thing I found out with Eastman is that a higher number mandolin does not guarantee a better sounding mandolin ! The worst Eastman I owned was a 915 ! It was beautiful but my much cheaper Eastman was better sounding . But I still maintain that over time most players that stick with playing and keep improving they will up grade to other more expensive mandolins ! Not everyone but most ! :)
