My Mando

From Uncle Levi on 2/9/2012 11:08:35 AM

Hi Gang,

Just getting started on mandolin, mostly as a relief from playing banjo. I have a 1977 Ibanez  Model 524 mandolin that I got for a song(no pun intended). Anyway, I hope to meet some new friends on the hangout.

Hi Uncle Levi, good luck in your new venture. I took up mandolin 3 years ago on a very cheap model that had no name and was awful to play. I ended up buying an Ozark f model that plays well when others play it but my playing still leaves a lot to be desired. Still, I enjoy it and that's important. I'm off to Sore Fingers Summer School soon and have signed up for a week of tuition with Jesse Brock. Speak to you again sometime.
