More About Me

I started playing music in 1989 and have always had an eye for the mandolin, although I play the banjo mostly. But because of the interest in the mandolin in 2005 I started toying with the idea of building them. Now with much support from my family and a very good mandolinist (my brother) I have completed many mandolins and numerous other instruments including banjos, dobros and guitars to date and hopefully many more in the future. I build under the name of Aleyas (which was derived from a combination of letters used in my children’s names) and have found that not only is it relaxing to build them but the joy of hearing someone play an instrument that I have made is priceless.
