I recently got the fret board extention swooped on my f5 style Loar LM-700 VS. I am COMPLETELY happy with the new swoop, and I LOVE the mandolin. When I get the swoop done on the mandolin, the guy also replaced my Elixir strings with D'Addario. I was completely happy with them too, until recently. They just started buzzing really badly, and I don't know what the problem is. It CAN'T be the mandolin, I NEVER had this problem before now. And I have checked my mandolin over and I can't see anything touching the strings or anything, and no high frets or anything like that. So I am wondering if it could actually be JUST the strings. Does anyone else have any trouble with D'Addario strings buzzing? This is driving me crazy, cause I HATE the buzzing, that's why I loved this mandolin so much when I got it, it was so clean and had no buzzing, and it just sounded PERFECT!
Any advice as far as what the problem could be?And anything else you might have to say about this would be MOST helpful!
Thank you!
Ben Guiltner

I am the Mandolin player for the bluegrass youth band , sponsored by the (KBA). I am a music Major at the Butler County Community College in El Darado Kansas. I am the ONLY mandolin player to EVER receive a scholarship over there, and I am the ONLY bluegrass musician on a music scholarship there this year. I live bluegrass. I never think anything that doesn't go back to music somehow or another. I'm not a brilliant musician, but I am going to do my best to entertain as long as people enjoy listening to me. And I will NEVER stop seeking further musical education! It's my greatest passion in life!
