Help restoring an F-5 style mandolin

I bought this on Ebay.  I've been working for 2 weeks to remove an extra tone bar thru an f-hole.  I have the wood piece lassoed wih monofiliment line. to remove it I will needto break or cut part offso I can take it out an F-hole.

I hope some can suggest how I can accomplish this task. BTW It has 2 tone bars tightly as designed.

Now disabled with kidney disease. Back when I was 50 I could play and sig at 12 hour long jams every week and haul a mixng board and two matched amps for stereo output , now I mostly collect instruments and restore and maintain them.
