Greeting all, As you can tell by my profile I'm a newbie. I was wondering this might be a dumb question, but just starting to learn is it easier to learn to play on a 4 string or a 8 string Mandolin. Any comment will be a great help. Thanks.

Have played the banjo in the past. Now learning to play the guitar (elecrtic). I always like the way the mandolin sounds so I decieded to try to learn to play one.

Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Most any Bluegrass band. Bela Fleck, O. C. M. S. . Christian Blues and Delta Blues.
