This song, Laird's March, is a duet for two mandolins. In this recording I played both parts and the guitar--something that is hard to do live! I have a video lesson available which teaches both parts which can be found here: http://www.bradleylaird.com/playthemandolin/videos.html and it also appears in my book "The Mandolin Song Book" published by Watch and Learn. Get one of your mandolin picking friends to learn it with you! It's hard to categorize a song like this but I think it sounds like something a mandolin orchestra might have played in the 1910s.
