This Forum is very nearly Dead. My annual winter interest in mandolins has just about fizzled out too.
TSSN, (AKA Patrick), I see you are from Boone county Mo. Do you ever attend any of the local jams? I am not a player but am thinking about bringing one of my homemade mandolins to a jam to get it into the hands of some players.
There is a free show coming up at DBRL

Originally posted by TSSNHey Maurice. Clearly, I haven't logged on here in a while.I used to attend local Boone County jams, then I started up with a band in the Kansas City area. Since that group disbanded, I have been entertaining myself mostly by playing mandolin and guitar for my dogs.My Banjo buddy Ethan Froese hosts the bluegrass jam at Coopers Landing south of Columbia MO. He does his best to make those a regular event once the weather gets nice. Keep an eye on Coopers Landings event page. I am not a good enough player to participate but occasionally go to listen.

I haven't met Ethan, but I know his brother. Small world!
Neat-O! Ethan is a regular at a KC jam too. I will inquire which one.
