Dix Bruce is a writer and award-winning musician from the San Francisco Bay Area. He edited David Grisman’s Mandolin World News from 1978 to 1984. He has produced over sixty instructional book/audio sets and videos, most for Mel Bay Publications. His most recent videos are “Swing & Jazz Mandolin: Chords & Rhythm” and “Mandolin Licks-er-cises.” Dix has played guitar with San Francisco’s Royal Society Jazz Orchestra since the late 1980s.
